SAWMILL SERVICES
Northwest Saw can produce dimensional lumber, beams and slabs from your logs. Our modern hydraulic sawmill that can produce hundreds of board feet of lumber per hour and minimize wood loss thanks to its thin-kerf band saw blade design and accurate computerized saw-head controls.

Logs are heavy and difficult to move, often making it more practical to bring a portable sawmill to your property than to transport your logs to a sawmill.

DRY-KILN SERVICES
Our hybrid* dry kiln will accept lumber loads up to 2800 board feet to transform your green lumber into dry lumber in a matter of days to weeks (depending on board thickness). We have experience drying not only lumber, but also wood slabs up to 4″ thick and 72″ wide.

With this service, we can pickup your lumber, bring it to our site and return it once its dry.

* Hybrid Dry-Kiln utilizes a dehumidification process that is augmented by a wood-fired furnace and solar energy when the sun is out.

LOG HANDLING SERVICES
If you have logs out in your forest, we have the means to retrieve them with our low-impact, tractor mounted skidding winch. With its ability to pull over 3 tons and its 165′ of cable, we are able to drag most logs out of your woods with the minimum impact to the forest floor.

We can transport your logs across your property or down the road.

LUMBER PLANING
Once your lumber is dried, we can plane your boards up to 21″ wide with our high quality, helical head planer. Whether we cut your lumber or you already have rough-sawn lumber to plane, contact us for a planing quote.

With this service, we can additionally pickup your lumber, bring it to our site and return it once its planed.

MOLDING & MILLWORK
If you want to create beautiful molding from your dried lumber, we can facilitate this for you. We use an experienced milling company in Tacoma, that can handle any size job.
